Health & Safety Advisor – Multi-site (Hybrid) Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (40 hours per week) Multi-site role – mix of site-based, remote, and hybrid working Site locations mainly range from M4 Corridor, to the Midlands. Applicants would ideally live within, or within 1-2 hours of this region Full time, permanent Earning Potential – Salary: £45,000 per annum Plus monthly car allowance of £350 (£4,200 per year) Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate Overview We're looking for a practical Health & Safety Advisor to support a nationwide network of automotive and commercial vehicle operations. You'll be out on site, building relationships, and helping people stay safe at work. Our client is Motor Trader's Employer of the Year and an official Great Place to Work. Key Responsibilities Providing practical, hands-on health and safety support to managers and technicians Delivering training, briefings, and coaching to empower colleagues on health and safety Promoting a positive safety culture – encouraging near-miss reporting and improvement ideas Supporting over 20 UK locations through regular site visits, inspections, and audits Working with managers to develop risk assessments and safe systems of work Leading and supporting incident and near-miss investigations – including root cause analysis and RIDDOR reporting Helping maintain compliance with UK health and safety legislation Supporting the ongoing development of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems Building trusted relationships with colleagues at all levels Providing practical, proportionate advice balancing operational needs with safety standards Championing environmental best practice – waste, chemicals, and workshop processes What You'll Need NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential Minimum 2 years' UK experience as a Health & Safety Practitioner, Advisor, or similar – essential Practical experience applying H&S in operational environments (not predominantly office-based) Experience within automotive, commercial vehicle, workshop, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, transport, or similar industries Good understanding of UK H&S legislation and reporting requirements, including RIDDOR Experience completing risk assessments, developing safe systems of work, and supporting incident investigations Confident building relationships and influencing positive H&S behaviours at all levels Practical, hands-on approach – sensible solutions supporting safety and operational effectiveness Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites Self-motivated and organised – able to manage priorities across multiple locations Experience of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 (advantageous) What's On Offer £45,000 per annum + £350 monthly car allowance Multi-site role – mix of site-based, remote, and hybrid working Up to 23 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday off Auto-enrolment pension + 4x salary life insurance Enhanced maternity, paternity, and return-to-work support WeCare programme – EAP, 24/7 GP access, and second medical opinions Mental Health First Aiders and wellness programme Reward and recognition programmes – including Wembley box tickets Annual appraisals and progression opportunities Manufacturer training and in-house training hubs Long service recognition and holiday increases after 5 years Branded uniform Think you might be a good fit?
