Yard & Delivery Driver Location: Albourne, West Sussex, BN6 9BN Hours: 39 hours per week Contract: Full-time, permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Key Responsibilities Safely load and unload machinery using appropriate equipment and securing methods. Training can be provided. Drive a range of vehicles, including a 3.5T flatbed van, to collect and deliver machinery, parts and goods to customers. Follow designated routes efficiently, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time. Carry out general grounds maintenance, including mowing, strimming and leaf blowing. Conduct vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure vehicles remain safe and roadworthy. Support the stores team, including moving and organising stock between goods-in areas and storage containers. Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records of journeys and deliveries. Carry out basic assembly work, such as assembling wheelbarrows and similar equipment. Assist customers with purchases and repairs of horticultural machinery, providing a friendly and professional service. Follow all relevant health and safety procedures when transporting, loading and handling machinery. Undertake general yard duties as required, including painting, drain clearance, sweeping and maintaining a clean and presentable depot.
