Shift Pattern/Hours: 4 on 4 off Days /Nights rotating 7am-7pm and 7pm -7am

My client is a large independent HGV Maintenance company with several depots around Scotland. They have been established for over 60 years and are the leaders in bulk transport, constantly investing in their fleet to ensure the highest standards of working conditions. Their huge fleet consists of over 160 vehicles, over 500 trailers and tankers.
The successful Heavy Plant/HGV Fitter will be working on a mixture of HGVs, JCB, Crushers, Cranes and a variety of other Heavy Plant machinery.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs on HGVs and Heavy Plant equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Fault finding and diagnostics across a varied fleet of equipment
- Conduct inspections, safety checks and preventative maintenance
- Prepare vehicles and plant for MOT, LOLER and PUWER inspections
- Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and organisation
- Attend breakdowns when required
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, HGV Mechanic, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrics
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent preferred)
- HGV licence desirable but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
