This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer, ideally with a background working on forklift trucks or similar material handling equipment, to join a growing team. The role will primarily focus on planned servicing and preventative maintenance, rather than complex breakdown work. You will be responsible for carrying out routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements and general maintenance checks, ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable and operational. Your responsibilities will include servicing of forklifts: Safety inspection brakes, steering, horn, lights, seat belt, warning devices and emergency systems. Hydraulics checking hydraulic oil, hoses, cylinders, leaks and lifting performance. Mast and forks inspecting forks for wear/cracks, mast chains, rollers, carriage and lifting mechanism. Engine/battery checking engine fluids and filters on diesel/LPG models, or battery condition, charging and connections on electric forklifts.
