About the Company:

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced and hands-on Workshop Foreman to lead their workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for customers and workshop-related queries
  • Coordinate workshop loading and job allocation based on skills, availability, and priority
  • Provide hands-on technical support and leadership to engineers
  • Ensure service documentation and Truck File records are accurate and compliant
  • Carry out quality checks on completed work and service records
  • Monitor parts usage and control costs
  • Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed
  • Complete reports and administrative tasks accurately and on time
  • Manage staff attendance, holidays, appraisals, discipline, and absence
  • Coach and mentor team leaders to meet service level agreements
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and regulatory standards are maintained

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Workshop Foreman or supervisory role
  • Hands-on technical background in vehicle servicing and repairs
  • Relevant mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent – commercial vehicles preferred)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • PCV/HGV Licence (highly desirable)
  • Advanced diagnostics knowledge and DVSA standards awareness (desirable)
