Yard / Generator Assistant Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent £24,025 -£28,200  An excellent entry-level opportunity to join a leading generator specialist, supporting the preparation, testing, servicing and repair of diesel generators. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and the Yard Foreman, with plenty of opportunity for training and career progression. The Role as the Yard / Generator Assistant: Assist with servicing and maintaining diesel generators Prepare and test generators ready for hire Help with basic repairs and equipment checks Load and unload equipment within the yard Check generator hours and fuel levels when equipment is returned Keep the workshop and yard clean and organised Operate a forklift once trained Occasionally assist engineers at customer sites Collect and deliver parts when requiredWhat We're Looking For In The Yard / Generator Assistant: An interest in engineering, mechanics or generators Previous workshop experience would be beneficial Full UK Driving Licence desirable FLT Licence and CSCS Card advantageous Reliable with a good attitude and willingness to learn Able to work independently and as part of a teamBenefits Company bonus scheme Training, upskilling and career progression 23 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing to 28 days Company pension Life assurance and healthcare support Holiday Buy & Sell Scheme Cycle to Work Scheme Employee Referral SchemeA great opportunity to start or develop a career within the power generation industry.
