About the Company:
Join a well-established and reputable service provider operating near Crawley. The company is known for delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance, strong customer service, and maintaining excellent safety and compliance standards. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced and hands-on Workshop Foreman to lead their workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as the main point of contact for customers and workshop-related queries
- Coordinating workshop loading and job allocation based on skills, availability, and priority
- Providing hands-on technical support and leadership to engineers
- Ensuring service documentation and Truck File records are accurate and compliant
- Carrying out quality checks on completed work and service records
- Monitoring parts usage and controlling costs
- Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed
- Completing reports and administrative tasks accurately and on time
- Managing staff attendance, holidays, appraisals, discipline, and absence
- Coaching and mentoring team leaders to meet service level agreements
- Ensuring GDPR compliance and regulatory standards are maintained
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Workshop Foreman or supervisory role
- Hands-on technical background in vehicle servicing and repairs
- Relevant mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent β commercial vehicles preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- PCV/HGV Licence (highly desirable)
- Advanced diagnostics knowledge and DVSA standards awareness (desirable)
