Salary: £30,000–£32,000 basic + commission OTE: £42,000–£62,000

We’re looking for an After Sales Executive to join our team and manage and develop strong, long-term customer relationships across the Midlands. This is a customer-facing, field-based role where you’ll work closely with existing customers, helping them with their equipment, service and aftersales requirements while identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts. The role would suit someone with experience in material handling, plant hire, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, industrial machinery, equipment rental or a similar service-based engineering environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and develop long-term customer relationships through regular site visits and account management.
- Take ownership of key customer accounts, service agreements and aftersales contracts.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding service enquiries, equipment support and ongoing requirements.
- Build strong relationships with customers operating forklifts, plant equipment, agricultural machinery and other industrial equipment.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints, managing expectations and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular account reviews and customer meetings to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for additional equipment hire, sales, service contracts and aftermarket solutions.
- Manage short-term rental enquiries and help customers find the right equipment for their needs.
- Follow up on quotations, contract renewals and outstanding commercial opportunities.
- Work closely with service engineers, workshops, parts and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Support invoice queries and service disputes, working with customers and internal teams to reach a resolution.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Maximise upselling and cross-selling opportunities in partnership with the sales team.
- Provide feedback on customer requirements, competitor activity and market trends.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience within material handling, plant hire, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, industrial machinery, equipment rental or a similar service-based engineering environment.
- Previous customer service or account management experience.
- Experience attending customer/client visits in person.
- Comfortable handling customer complaints and resolving problems.
- Understanding of KPIs, targets and commercial performance.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.

Salary & Benefits
