Location: Colchester
Salary: £49,800
Shift: Monday to Friday Days – 45 hours per week
Overtime: Paid at an enhanced rate
An exciting opportunity has become available working for a very well-established fleet maintenance company. Specialist training will be provided where needed to develop your existing skills to support their specialist assets.
Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:
- Undertake routine inspection & repair of internal & external customers vehicles within the workshop
- Undertake commercial vehicle MOT inspections, repair, and final preparation for MOT test
- Attend breakdowns, diagnose, and complete necessary repairs to a high standard
- Complete all compliance paperwork associated with the repair and maintenance of the rental fleet
Requirements for this HGV Technician role:
- Experience from within an HGV Technician/ HGV Mechanic/ HGV Engineer role
- Municipal experience including working on Refuse trucks/ RCVs is a plus
- Repairs and wheel alignment
- HGV Technical qualification - NVQ or City and Guilds equivalent
- Experience of working in a similar role with an understanding of the HGV industry
- Great team player whilst also able to work on own initiative
- Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety practices
