Pay: £36,000

Hours: 8am-6pm

We are seeking a proactive, organised, and detail-oriented Group Compliance Manager to play a key role in maintaining and improving compliance standards across a multi-site commercial vehicle operation. This is a varied and rewarding position that combines compliance management, health and safety coordination, auditing, supplier management, and operational support. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real impact by ensuring high standards are maintained across multiple locations while supporting continuous improvement throughout the business. Group Compliance Manager duties:

  • Maintain and update health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry best practice.
  • Conduct regular depot and site audits, producing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Manage health and safety schedules and compliance records across multiple locations.
  • Coordinate mandatory training programmes, including first aid, fire marshal and other compliance-related training.
  • Arrange and manage statutory compliance appointments, including fire safety inspections, lung function testing and electrical equipment testing.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safe systems of work briefings to employees.
  • Monitor compliance with customer service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Complete monthly quality control audits and compliance checks.
  • Conduct stock audits and investigate discrepancies where required.
  • Work closely with suppliers and contractors to manage contracts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide operational depot support and cover during periods of annual leave, sickness, or absence.
  • Support senior management with compliance initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Group Compliance Manager experience / qualifications required:

  • Previous experience in a compliance, health and safety, operations or auditing role.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across multiple sites and departments.
  • Strong report-writing and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
  • Any experience in a similar role within the commercial vehicle sector would be beneficial.
