Location: Glasgow
Shift Pattern: 47 Hours Per Week - Monday to Friday 8am-6pm and alternate Saturdays 8am-12pm
Rate of Pay: up to £20.45 per hour
My client is a renowned HGV Fleet and Recovery business with multiple depots across Scotland. Due to continued success, they are looking for a qualified and experienced HGV Technician to join their established and growing team in Glasgow.
Duties of the HGV Technician:
- Prepare and Present all HGV Vehicles for Annual MOT Inspections
- Carry out Periodic Safety Inspections to all HGV Vehicles to DVSA Inspection Manual Standard
- Conduct Diagnostic Tests on mixed Fleet
- Attend broken down or accident damaged vehicles and effect permanent or running repairs as required
- Complete vehicle records to ensure full compliance with legislation
- Maintain cleanliness within the workshop
- Ability to write concise and clear reports of work carried out and parts used
- Repairing vehicles both roadside and workshop
- Maintaining own fleet and 3rd party vehicles and machinery
- Servicing
Requirement of the HGV Technician:
- Qualified HGV Technician
- The ideal candidate would have a class 2 licence or above (desirable not essential)
- To be considered for the role you must be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative and have your own tools.
