Job Summary:

As a Hire Desk Controller, you will be the crucial link between our clients, the engineering team, and the transport department. Your role ensures that the right equipment is available and delivered to customer sites on time, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming hire enquiries via phone, email, and in person
  • Prepare quotes and raise hire contracts accurately
  • Schedule deliveries and collections, coordinating with drivers and workshop staff
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet availability and utilisation
  • Liaise with customers regarding urgent requests, equipment breakdowns, and replacements
  • Support depot administration and operational processes
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in Plant, Powered Access, Tool, Lifting Equipment or Material Handling industries.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
