Salary: £50,000–£60,000 OTE, with an open-ended commission structure

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Area Sales Manager to join an expanding sales team based from our Aldridge depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established B2B sales professional with experience in material handling, plant hire, industrial machinery or a similar sector to take ownership of a defined territory across the Midlands. You’ll be responsible for developing new business, managing existing customer relationships and driving revenue growth across your territory. Working closely with the wider branch and service teams, you’ll manage the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to negotiation and successful completion. This is a high-impact, field-based position offering excellent earning potential, autonomy and genuine career progression within a growing national sales operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow sales across a designated Midlands territory.
  • Identify and win new business through prospecting and cold calling.
  • Manage existing customer relationships and develop new opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales process from initial contact through to close.
  • Promote new and used forklift and material handling equipment.
  • Maintain an accurate CRM and sales pipeline.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and wider depot team.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven B2B sales experience within forklifts, material handling, plant hire or industrial machinery.
  • Strong track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
  • Confident managing the full sales cycle and negotiating commercial deals.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Organised, self-motivated and confident working independently.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
