The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Groundcare Sales Manager to join an established machinery dealership, covering East Lothian and down towards the Scottish Borders.

This is a field-based sales position focused on developing relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities and promoting a range of leading groundcare and machinery brands.

You will be responsible for managing your own territory, visiting customers and developing sales across a range of equipment.

This is a relationship-led sales role rather than a telesales position, so the ability to build customer relationships, understand machinery requirements and provide the right solutions is essential.

  • The Ideal Candidate
  • The business is open to considering candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including:

Previous machinery sales experience, ideally within groundcare, agricultural or construction equipment.

Candidates with a good technical understanding of machinery and equipment.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

A proactive approach to developing new business and looking after existing accounts.

Self-motivated and comfortable managing a field-based territory.

Full UK driving licence.

Importantly, this is not a telesales role.

The focus is on getting out into the territory, meeting customers and developing long-term business relationships.
