My client is a global supplier of Powered Access machinery and due to their continued success they are now looking for a skilled workshop engineer to join their ever growing team.
The Role
- Inspect, service, repair and refurbish MEWPs to manufacturer and statutory standards
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Carry out scheduled maintenance, pre-delivery inspections and function testing
- Install accessories, retrofit kits and safety devices
- Complete job cards and inspection records accurately
- Liaise with workshop management, parts and field engineers
- Work in line with HSE, LOLER, PUWER and company safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working on MEWPs or similar mobile plant
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Team-focused with good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and own basic hand tools
Desirable
- Engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- IPAF, CAP 1b, diesel engine diagnostics experience
- Forklift or telehandler licence
