Location: Leicester

Hours: Monday to Friday days

Overtime paid at 1.5

My client is a global supplier of Powered Access machinery and due to their continued success they are now looking for a skilled workshop engineer to join their ever growing team.

The Role

  • Inspect, service, repair and refurbish MEWPs to manufacturer and statutory standards
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance, pre-delivery inspections and function testing
  • Install accessories, retrofit kits and safety devices
  • Complete job cards and inspection records accurately
  • Liaise with workshop management, parts and field engineers
  • Work in line with HSE, LOLER, PUWER and company safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working on MEWPs or similar mobile plant
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
  • Team-focused with good communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and own basic hand tools

Desirable

  • Engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • IPAF, CAP 1b, diesel engine diagnostics experience
  • Forklift or telehandler licence
