Overview
HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter opportunity
Due to increased business levels our specialist fleet maintenance company is looking to add an additional HGV technician / Mechanic / Fitter to the team.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections and subsequent repairs to a variety of trucks and commercial vehicles
- Perform visual or operational checks to locate worn, dirty or maladjusted parts.
- Carry out technical inspections
- Will be required to undertake thorough inspections of accident damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair.
- In this HGV technician / Mechanic / Fitter role you will be working on customer sites with or without workshop facilities being available for use
Qualifications
- Ideally hold full HGV qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds)
- Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles
- Hold an HGV Class 1 or 2 licence would be beneficial
- Valid driving licence.
