HGV Technician – Carlisle

Salary: £45,000 + Benefits

Shift: Monday-Friday, 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm on rota

Contract: Full Time Permanent

Benefits: Overtime paid at 1.5x

Our client, a market-leading Waste Management company with depots across Northern England, is seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician for their purpose-built maintenance facility in Carlisle.

HGV Technician Duties

1. Perform vehicle inspections
2. Conduct general servicing and pre-planned maintenance
3. Carry out reactive maintenance as required
4. Prepare vehicles for MOT and presentation
5. Correct running defects

Candidate Requirements

1. Time-served or qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ qualifications
2. Ability to undertake all aspects of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
3. Commercial vehicle driving licence is a benefit
