About your new HGV Mechanic role:
Working within a team of experienced HGV Mechanics on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles, the successful candidate will undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, including:
- Vehicle inspections
- General servicing and pre-planned maintenance
- Reactive maintenance as required
- MOT preparation and presentation
- Correction of running defects
- General HGV mechanic duties
Requirements for the successful HGV Mechanic:
- In-depth knowledge of HGVs and trailers
- HGV Class 1 licence (desirable but not essential)
- Industry-recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3) in heavy vehicle service, maintenance, and repair
- Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic
