About your New Build Crane Engineer role:
- Installation of safety systems, calibration, and testing of crane specifications
- Preparation of cranes for sale, including decal application, testing, and paint touch-ups
- Conducting PDI inspections and testing for both incoming and outgoing machinery
- Refurbishment and repair of older machines
- Fault finding and diagnosis of equipment defects
- Supporting field-based engineers with diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Assisting the dealer network with maintenance and testing of products
- Maintaining records for engineering, health & safety, and customer service
- Performing other engineering and workshop duties as required
What you'll need to succeed for this New Build Crane Engineer role:
- Electrical Engineering experience (12/24v DC automotive / plant systems)
- Communication system experience (CAN bus – ideal but not essential)
- NVQ level 2/3 Engineering
- High attention to detail and ability to complete system installations to a high standard
- Ability to read and follow electrical and hydraulic diagrams
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
