The most rewarding job in the world. Being a live-in carer is incredibly rewarding. You get to know the person you live with very well – you know their habits and routines, their favourite TV programmes, their families and friends, what food they like and what makes them happy. And often, you hear the most interesting life stories.
As a live-in carer, you are much more than just a ‘carer’. You are a companion, a confidante, and often a friend. Many of our live-in carers stay with the same client for a long time and form lasting bonds.
We are here to support you. We know how demanding it is to be a live-in carer, and we will look after you. We go out of our way to make sure you have the freedom and confidence to trust your professional instinct. This means we will prepare you well – you will be trained to support people in all areas of life, including cooking and housekeeping, supporting with medication and personal care and helping people get out and about.
You will get your own supporting manager in the office, who is there to answer your questions and help you when needed. They will touch base with you regularly to discuss how you are doing and whether there is anything we can do to help.
What to expect? We are a strong and open team, and we love having new people join us. You and the client agree how you would like to work – whether you are with them continuously or on a weekly routine. Each day, you will have a three-hour break which you can spend as you please.
We offer competitive pay rates, ordinarily from £974.40 to £1,249.92 a week (as at April 2026). You are not alone – we are here to support you.
What do you need?
- The right to live and work in the UK.
- A valid driving licence and your own car.
- References. We ask all candidates who have been offered a job to provide at least two references.
- To disclose any criminal offences. We are obliged to check for a criminal record if we offer you a job, but previous offences by no means mean that we cannot employ you.
Are you an optimist, used to making things happen and do you enjoy putting other people first? Then you may find we get along very well.
