Location: Elmstead Market. The shift pattern is 3 nights on, 3 nights off (rolling rota). The working hours are 11pm-7am - an average of 32 hours per week.

The Role: As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing overnight support to the young people in our residential care home. You will be responsible for creating a calm and supportive environment during the night, ensuring the well-being and safety of each resident, and offering guidance and reassurance when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to adolescents during the night.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
  • Be a positive role model, offering emotional support and guidance.
  • Respond to any situations as they arise, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Complete relevant reports and documentation as required.
  • Communicate effectively with the day team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Promote independence and help young people develop life skills.
  • Assist with any nighttime routines, including helping residents settle or engaging in calm activities if needed.
