Purpose of the job: To provide an outstanding service to all our customers and outstanding food. To work in accordance with the company policies and procedures. To ensure the kitchen is clean, tidy and inviting at all times, and that all maintenance issues are noted down and sorted. To assist with running food and clearing tables if needed, and to order the right amount of food and beverage stock, ensuring this is checked with management. To keep all health and safety paperwork relating to the kitchen up to date, including compliance paperwork (temperature checks, probing of food, etc.).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertake the required opening/closing procedures and prepare the kitchen ready for opening.
- Food preparation and ordering for the venue.
- Ensure stock is topped up in catering areas before opening.
- Report all kitchen maintenance issues immediately to the Senior Manager.
- Keep an up-to-date cleaning rota of the kitchen.
- Ensure food is of a high standard for all customers.
- Record all wastage and pass on the information to the Senior Manager.
- Review seasonal menus and the latest food trends.
- Maximise catering sales 7 days a week.
- Operate the smooth running of the kitchen 7 days a week.
- Conduct a deep clean of the kitchen once a week.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety laws relating to catering areas.
- Provide customer care through effective communication.
- Monitor and ensure all agreed company policies and safety standards are maintained.
- Project a patient, friendly and professional image at all times.
- Be competent at solving problems.
- Ensure the kitchen is a clean, safe and inviting place at all times.
- Ensure all administration of documentation is accurate and sent to Head Office on time.
- Ensure all kitchen orders are done on time.
- Ensure there is sufficient cleaning equipment and stock.

Person Specification:
- A current Food Hygiene Certificate.
- An awareness of food allergies.
- Knowledge of health and safety issues including COSHH.
- The ability to order the correct amounts of food and control stock.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Competent at managing own time and prioritising tasks.
- Friendly, flexible approach to work life.
- Commitment to any training and meetings requested for the role.
Hours of Work: Normal opening hours are 8am to 5pm. You will be expected to work a minimum of 5 days a week covering a 7-day rota including bank holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
