About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Plant Operator to join our Training School as part of our professional team of trainers and testers.
You will deliver CPCS and NPORS plant training and testing, as well as Level 2 NVQs in Plant Operations.
While experience as a trainer or assessor is desirable, we will provide full training and ongoing support for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and practical experience.
This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone looking to transition from site-based work into training and assessment.
You’ll enjoy a mix of:
- Hands-on practical training
- Classroom/theory-based sessions
- NVQ assessment work
- The option for some home working once fully established
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess CPCS and NPORS practical and theory training across a range of plant categories, including:
- Excavator 360°, Forward Tipping Dumper, Ride-on Roller, Articulated Dump Truck, and more.
- Provide constructive and supportive feedback to learners.
- Accurately complete documentation to record candidate progress.
- Plan, organise, and manage your own workload effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
✅ Minimum 5 years’ experience operating a range of mobile plant and equipment within the construction industry.
âś… Strong written and verbal communication skills.
âś… Ability to provide clear, supportive guidance to learners.
✅ A good standard of literacy – written feedback and NVQ portfolio work will form part of the role.
đź’ˇ Knowledge of CPCS or NPORS schemes is an advantage, but not essential.
