Want to work at Scotland's biggest and best outdoor events? Apex Bars & Events is hiring Event Staff for the 2026 Scottish event season. We run the bars at some of the country's biggest, best-known and most exciting outdoor events. We're looking for people who want to be part of it.

What we're offering:

  • £13.45 per hour, plus 12.07% rolled-up holiday pay (paid every shift, itemised on your payslip)
  • Work at iconic Scottish venues: the Royal Highland Show, the Kelpies, the Mound during the Fringe, Commonwealth Games fanzones and more
  • Real career progression: Event Staff to Team Leader to Assistant Event Manager to Event Manager. We promote from within first
  • Personal Licence Holder (SCPLH) training fully funded by Apex when you're ready
  • Full induction, training and ongoing support
  • Pension auto-enrolment, sick pay, expenses paid
  • Be part of a small, ambitious Scottish company at the start of something good

What we're looking for:

  • Aged 18 or over (legal minimum to serve alcohol unsupervised)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Reliable, presentable, ready to work hard
  • Comfortable with customers, including the odd difficult one
  • Confident asking for ID and refusing service when you need to (we'll train you on the rest)
  • Available evenings, weekends and during summer event peaks (especially June through August)
  • Bar or hospitality experience is great, but not essential. We'll train the right people

What it's actually like:

Outdoor events hospitality isn't a desk job. You'll be on your feet, often in the rain, sometimes until late. Set-up days are heavy. Service days are intense. Break-down at midnight in a wet field is its own particular pleasure. But the events are spectacular. The teams are tight. And when you've poured 600 pints in three hours at a concert and the headliner walks on stage, you'll know exactly why we do it. If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

How to apply:

Send us a short message telling us about yourself, any relevant experience (or none, that's fine too), and which events most appeal to you.
