This is a great opportunity to join the team of a well-established Bilston based manufacturing and engineering business providing metal surface finishing services.
Basic Salary: £26,000 - £31,000 + bonus / commission
Working: Office based, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
As part of the office based Sales Team, you will be tasked with building and managing a portfolio of business from existing, lapsed and new customers. Activities include:
- Respond to incoming business enquiries
- Rekindle lapsed customer relationships
- Identify and pursue potential new customers and business leads
- Balance managing existing customers with new business development
- Nurture and develop both new and established customer relationships
- Follow up quotations produced by the in-house technical team
- Achieve performance and activity targets on a weekly basis
- Maintain customer database and records
- Progress chasing
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency and expertise in:
- Business to business selling in an engineering context; be that engineering services, manufactured products, consumables, PPE etc.
- Skilled communication both verbal and written with strong, opportunistic negotiation skills
- Self-motivation, structured thinking and result driven approach
- Selling “to” or “from” manufacturing, engineering, construction or logistics sectors would be highly desirable.
Note: You must already reside in the West Midlands with existing “right to work” entitlement. This position will ideally suit a Sales Professional who is or has been selling manufactured products, engineering process based services, consumables, raw materials, PPE etc from one business to another (B2B sales). Specific product and process training will be given but we do need someone with an understanding of how the sector functions.
