The predicted salary is between 30000 - 35000 ÂŁ per year.
This is a great opportunity to join the TRADE COUNTER SALES team of a leading independent builders Merchants based in the Marston Green area of BIRMINGHAM (B37). Salary will be entirely dependent on experience but is anticipated in the region of ÂŁ30-35k. Core working hours are 7.30am to 5pm Mon to Fri and every second Saturday.
Working within TRADE COUNTER SALES you will be expected to:
- Convert customer enquiries into sales
- Engage with customers in branch and remotely
- Nurture and develop key customer relationships
- Produce quotes and process sales orders
- Proactively identify and develop potential new customers
- Trade counter sales in the branch
- Develop product and market knowledge
- Promote and maintain safe working practices across the site
- Work closely with transport and warehouse
- Ensure the highest level of customer service
To be successful within this TRADE COUNTER SALES team, you should display the following skills & experience:
- Sales experience in a builder’s merchants, DIY shed, construction or a similar trade environment.
- A sound understanding of the building trade or DIY marketplace
- Excellent communication skills at all levels both face to face and on the phone
- A self-motivated problem solver with a “can do” attitude
NOTE: This TRADE COUNTER SALES position is a permanent appointment, employed directly by the company and NOT a temp or agency contract. This position will ideally suit someone who has already gained experience selling either within the construction sector or within a builder’s merchant or DIY shed context.
