We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced STAINLESS STEEL FABRICATOR to take a senior role within an established and dedicated team producing structural and architectural fabrications from a purpose built manufacturing facility in SMETHWICK.

Salary rate will be wholly negotiable at interview and dependent on skills and experience; we anticipate something in the region of £15 - £20/hr. Core working hours will be 7am to 4pm, Mon to Fri with the opportunity for paid overtime.

As the STAINLESS STEEL FABRICATOR your duties & responsibilities will include:

  • Hands on manufacture & TIG welding of decorative, architectural and industrial fabrications
  • Primarily factory based with trips to customer sites for surveys and fitting
  • Working from engineering and architectural drawings
  • Site surveys & measuring up ahead of sales team producing quotations
  • Providing supervision, guidance and instruction to junior members of a team of 3
  • Promoting a “right first time” culture
  • Ensure quality & accuracy of fabrication work

To secure this STAINLESS STEEL FABRICATOR opportunity you will need to display the following key skills & experience:

  • Hands on TIG welding
  • Stainless steel fabrication
  • Working accurately to technical drawings
  • Architectural & decorative fabrications including balustrades, handrails and canopies
  • Industrial fabrications of equipment for catering and manufacturing
  • Site fitting & “measuring up”
  • Supervision, mentoring & training of junior or less experienced colleagues
  • UK Driving license
  • CSCS card for site work and site welding accreditations would be advantageous although not essential

This opportunity for a STAINLESS STEEL FABRICATOR will ideally suit an experienced or senior hands on Fabricator, Welder, Fabrication Supervisor or Steel Fitter who is used to both making and fitting their work on site.
