We are seeking and experience FINISHING SUPERVISOR for a 3-4 month contract covering the finishing stage of an industrial unit build in the ASCOT area by a successful, privately owned construction & civils business based in offices in Birmingham. The day rate is anticipated to be in the region of £(Apply online only) Working on a self employed / CIS basis. As the FINISHING SUPERVISOR you will be expected to: * Supervise and coordinate internal & external finishing activities * Manage a team ranging from 6 to 18, mainly sub-contractors * Ensure works proceeding to schedule & deadlines * Maintain prescribes standards of quality and finish * Promote safe working practices in line with H&S guidelines * Inspect ongoing work on a regular basis * Promptly communicate materials & consumables requirements * Provide accurate situation reports to the Project Manager * Undertake hands on tasks within your skill set as required To be the successful FINISHING SUPERVISOR you should have the following qualifications and experience: * Internal fit out of industrial or commercial type properties * Finishing of external shell ideally featuring cladding and glazing * Relevant CSCS card * SSSTS or SMSTS desirable * Awareness of health & safety and safe working practices * Sound knowledge of current civils & construction standards & regulations * Formal construction or civil engineering qualifications or time served * Own Vehicle & Tools NOTE : This is a 3-4 month contract position which will see you engaged on a sub-contract, self employed or CIS basis.
