This is a great opportunity for an ESTIMATOR to join the team of a well establish BLACK COUNTRY based manufacturing and engineering business producing steel products and providing metal surface finishing services. Starting Salary : £27,000 – £31,000 depending on experience Working : Office based, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. An the ESTIMATOR within this business you will quickly become involved in: * Producing sales estimates based on materials, labour and sundry costs * Interpreting customer specifications, drawings and tender documents * Utilising and updating Bill of Materials documentation * Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors * Work closely with internal sales, project and technical teams. * Juggling a number of different projects concurrently * Progress chasing * Tasks of an administrative nature, particularly supporting the sales process For your application as our ESTIMATOR to be progressed you will need to show the following key experience and attributes on your CV: * Experience in estimating, costing or quotations in an engineering or manufacturing context * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimation or CAD software is a plus * A keen mind for numbers and a logical approach * Producing formal written communications internally and externally * An understanding of engineering or manufacturing processes * Formal engineering or other relevant qualification would be a bonus * Note : You must already reside in the West Midlands with existing “right to work” entitlement. This ESTIMATOR position will ideally suit someone who has already worked as an ESTIMATOR or undertaken arts of the ESTIMATING process within an Engineering or Manufacturing context oo someone who has produced calculation based quotations or job pricings in their capacity supporting Sales Teams as a Sales Administrator, Engineering Administrator or similar.
