We wish to hire a CONSTRUCTION TOOL FITTER & YARD COORDINATOR to join the team of a well established construction business based in the SMETHWICK area of Birmingham. This is a hybrid role that will see the successful person responsible for both the yard activities AND maintaining a range of industrial tools including wacker plates, generators, drills, site lights, extension cables etc and even some plant servicing if possible. Working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with potential for overtime. Salary is completely dependent on experience and will be properly discussed at interview. We envisage the duties of a CONSTRUCTION TOOL FITTER & YARD COORDINATOR including: * Maintaining and inspecting site and workshop tools * Organising and general housekeeping around the yard environment * Overseeing loading & unloading of deliveries * Receiving incoming deliveries * Ensure necessary paperwork is passed to the office * Occasional deliveries and errands The experience we are looking for in our CONSTRUCTION TOOL FITTER & YARD COORDINATOR is: * Repair and maintenance of small construction and work shop tools is essential * General fitting or maintenance skills within a construction or workshop context * Basic servicing plant and equipment such as mini diggers would be advantageous * Yard or stores / warehouse experience would be useful * Forklift truck and / or overhead crane experience desirable or training given * Full UK driving license; commercial vehicle experience a bonus NOTE : This is a PERMANENT JOB employed DIRECTLY BY THE COMPANY on a paye basis; This is not an agency or limited hours contract position. We anticipate that this CONSTRUCTION TOOL FITTER & YARD COORDINATOR position will either suit someone from tool hire or plant hire or someone who has worked in a similar tool maintenance or fitter type position within a construction or factory environment.
