We are working with a major international defence contractor and require a Principal Systems Engineer to start ASAP based in Luton, UK.
Full Security Clearance required with Sole UK Nationality.
Location: Luton Site full time, possible option for 4 days office based.
Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate - 37 hrs a week.
Anticipated Duration: 12 months with possible extension.
Start: ASAP.
Department: Electronics Engineering.
Required Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- RF Systems, Understanding of radar or complex sensor systems, in Defence/Automotive or related fields.
- Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
- MATLAB, particularly for use in analysis of large data sets.
- Ideally Full V-model lifecycle experience, Left to right side (implementation, integration, testing, and V&V).
- Experience in safety-critical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Working within the Future Combat Air division as part of the team working on systems for key aerospace customers.
- This role will focus on supporting the development of RF system requirements within DOORS, including design and interface definition to assist engineering domains in design and integration activities.
- Knowledge of modelling and analysis using Matlab and Cameo, as well as working in an agile environment and experience across the full engineering lifecycle would be advantageous.
- Due to the nature of the work, this role requires 80-100% (4 to 5 days) on-site in Luton.
- A role within the team will provide exposure to EW products and subject-matter experts with expertise within domain, product, and technology fields.
Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Proven experience within Systems Engineering ideally in a defence/highly regulated environment or similar automotive field.
- Full Security Clearance will be required as detailed above.
