Kurdish Sorani Telephone Interpreter / Freelance / Work from Home
Are you a UK based interpreter, fluent in Sorani and English ? And looking to work from home? In this freelance role, you’ll work with the world’s leading language agency, to provide interpretation across a range of industries, including the NHS and the Public Sector.

The Role
- Providing interpreting services to clients and customers with limited English proficiency
- Answer requests and interpret real-time conversations both ways via phone call, using a dedicated app.
- Interpreting and translating English to Sorani and Sorani to English over the phone in real time
- Providing accurate and complete interpretation whilst demonstrating excellent customer service at all times
Ideal Person
- Living in the UK and eligible to work in the UK on a self-employed basis
- Fluent in both Kurdish Sorani and English
- Has in-depth understanding of the cultural dynamics of both languages
- Previous experience in spoken or written translation and/or interpretation
- Community Interpreting Level 3 certificate or higher, is desirable but not essential
- You must hold, or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service
