Our client in the Wednesbury area is looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join their vibrant team due to continued business growth.
Benefits:
- Salary - £27,000 to £35,000 per annum
- Location: Wednesbury
- Hours of work – Monday to Friday 09:00am to 17:00pm (37.5hrs per week)
- 33 Days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)

Role & Responsibilities:
- Analyse and monitor sales forecasts by customer and product, bridging sales and purchasing.
- Identify discrepancies between actual and planned demand, adjusting forecasts and supply chain plans to optimise inventory.
- Plan inventory levels and initiate purchase orders with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
- Collaborate with logistics, suppliers, and shipping agents to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders.
- Aid warehouse and sales teams in achieving 100% order fulfilment while minimising excess inventory.
- Identify surplus inventory and collaborate with sales to develop sales plans.
- Notify sales, procurement, and inventory teams of potential stock shortages and excess inventory.
- Manage regular communication with stock control and visit the warehouse as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of Supply and Demand experience, including forecasting and supplier scheduling. (Essential)
- Experience working within the FMCG sector.
- Familiarity with sales and operations planning.
- Proficient in MS packages with clear communication skills.
- Strong time management and task prioritization abilities.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
