Kelly Government Solutions is seeking a Clinical Trials Nurse (RN) to support innovative Department of Defense (DoD) and federal healthcare studies at a leading military medical center in Portsmouth, VA.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical assessments, monitor vitals, and perform study procedures within the full nursing scope.
- Administer investigational products (as permitted), oversee study participants, and safeguard patient safety.
- Support participant recruitment, screening, and informed consent processes.
- Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA, ICH, and DoD Human Research Protection Program requirements.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assist with electronic data capture queries.
- Serve as a vital liaison among clinicians, research teams, and military personnel.
- Perform protocol-specific tasks, such as phlebotomy, ECGs, and specimen collection, as needed.
- Support protocol adherence, deviation reporting, and audit preparation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Virginia RN or compact license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- At least 2 years of recent clinical trials nursing experience.
- Strong clinical assessment, teamwork, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current security clearance or willingness and ability to obtain ACRP or SOCRA certification.
- Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Experience with MHS GENESIS.
- Previous experience in DoD, VA, or federal healthcare research.
Key Research Areas: Work includes but is not limited to studies in cardiology, hematology, nephrology, traumatic brain injury (TBI), adult specialty care, and more.
