Role Responsibilities
- Responsible for the production of estimates and technical submissions.
- Production of bid / no bid assessment of opportunities.
- Responsible for bid management for Kelly Rail tender submissions as necessary.
- Production of productivity metrics for all works with operational staff at bid stage.
- Responsible for initial terms and conditions review at tender stage.
- Attending tender de-briefing with clients for unsuccessful bids.
- Responsible for the facilitation of handover meetings to the commercial and department and operations at contract award.
- Formulation of budgets, labour allocations, productivity metrics and PMO provisioning for secured works at contract award at handover stage.
- Ensure that projects spend costs are in accordance with the tender prices submitted and Candy cost breakdowns. In the event of a departure from estimate, work closely with the commercial team to analyse change.
- Re-rate bill items as necessary post award of contract(s) during a post award review of rates.
- Ensure bids are compliant with company systems and procedures.
HSQE Responsibilities
- Ensuring that delegated work is correctly planned, resourced, executed in accordance with client specifications, standards, relevant legislation, technical, safety and environmental standards.
- Ensure the risks and control measures associated with the company’s activities are identified and allowed for within bid submissions.
Essential Knowledge / Qualifications / Certifications:
- Minimum academic qualification to HND, preferably degree level in a relevant technical related discipline.
- Membership of related Professional Institutes either by Professional examination or experience.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in project delivery or operational engineering within the Metro / Rail Industry including experience in telecoms, signalling, electrical and civils.
- LUL Entry Permit / Network Rail PTS accredited.
