We're expanding our Virgin Media delivery team and are looking for experienced Civils & Reinstatement Operatives to support the build and maintenance of the network that keeps customers connected. If you have experience in telecoms civils, utilities, excavation, reinstatement, or network construction activities and enjoy working in a hands-on field-based environment, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Civils & Reinstatement Operative, you'll be responsible for carrying out excavation, ducting, reinstatement, and network infrastructure activities across the Virgin Media network, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Carrying out excavation and reinstatement works in footways, carriageways, and verges
  • Installing and repairing underground duct and network infrastructure
  • Identifying, investigating, and clearing network blockages within existing duct routes
  • Rodding, roping, and proving underground duct networks
  • Breaking out and reinstating surfaces in line with specification and local authority requirements
  • Supporting cable installation and network build activities
  • Locating and exposing existing utility services safely
  • Operating hand tools, plant, and specialist civils equipment
  • Installing chambers, cabinets, and associated network infrastructure
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work site at all times
  • Accurately recording completed work using handheld technology
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards
What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with experienced operatives who have worked within telecoms, utilities, civils, construction, highway maintenance, or network infrastructure environments.

  • Previous telecoms civils, excavation, reinstatement, blockage clearance, utility, or construction experience
  • Experience working within underground duct and network infrastructure environments
  • Knowledge of rodding, roping, proving ducts, and blockage remediation techniques
  • Knowledge of reinstatement standards and safe digging practices
  • NRSWA accreditation preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience operating plant and machinery is advantageous
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Confident using handheld devices and digital job management systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Full UK manual driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months (maximum 6 points)
