The Kelly Group are currently looking for a civils scheduler to support the planning and coordination of all civils works.
The role involves developing and maintaining effective work schedules ensuring optimal use of resource, and liaising with site teams, clients and contractors to ensure orders are delivered efficiently, safely and within agreed performance targets.
The scheduler will play a key role in maintaining workflow, responding to changing priorities, and supporting the smooth delivery of operational activities.
In your role you will be responsible for
- Plan and schedule all civils works, as requested, ensuring activities are logistically viable and resources are used efficiently.
- Secure necessary application approvals when required, engaging with internal departments, to support the timely delivery of works.
- Update Kellys internal database (KVB) with permitting and Traffic Management information, ensuring accurate submission to the noticing team for permit applications to be processed.
- Track the status of orders from submission through to permit approval, ensuring works are fully prepared and can proceed to the field as planned.
- Coordinate the request and receipt of STATS, ensuring all required information is in place prior to the commencement of works.
- Prepare and submit weekly reports as and when required, to track works progress and ensure that compliance is maintained.
- Proactively monitor the schedule and adjust or reallocate works as needed to ensure maximum productivity and timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate with clients to arrange and confirm site access, ensuring that all necessary permissions are in place for works to be carried out efficiently.
- Effectively manage email correspondence by monitoring incoming messages, prioritising queries and responding promptly and professionally to ensure timely communication with clients and colleagues.
- Proactively follow-up with internal departments to resolve issues promptly and ensure orders continue progressing without delay.
- Participate in and complete all mandatory training modules as required, to maintain compliance and up to date knowledge.
What we require from you
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Recognised academic qualifications.
- Good understanding of Streetworks processes, regulations and associated terminology.
- Competent in the use of PC systems.
- Experience within the telecommunications or engineering sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to identify and elevate issues and delays appropriately.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
