Our client, based in Braintree, is looking for an experienced Conveyancing Secretary to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. The ideal candidate for this role will need previous conveyancing experience, good communication skills and a can-do attitude.
The Conveyancing Secretary will be responsible for:
- Preparing correspondence and documents by audio typing and word processing.
- Daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files.
- Preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch.
- Arranging for all copying to be done, in person if the office assistant is not available to undertake the task.
- Making appointments, arranging meetings and maintaining an up-to-date diary for the Principal.
- Preparing the conference room for meetings and clearing afterwards and providing refreshments when asked to do so.
- Providing support to other secretaries, the junior and temps as and when required.
- Attending to clients both in person and on the telephone and providing such support in a professional and friendly manner ensuring standards for client care are kept.
- Undertaking any specific training when required.
- Ensuring the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client’s documentation.
You will need:
- Previous Legal Conveyancing secretarial experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good Audio and IT skills.
- To be a strong team player but also able to work on your own initiative.
- Self-motivation and a can-do attitude.
In return for your hard work, our client is offering a salary of £25,000 - £28,000pa, 22 days holiday, 2 wellbeing days, Birthday Day off, extra gratia holiday given between Christmas and New Year. Bonus for introducing new staff and legal referrals. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm.
