Our client based in Havering are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary / Team Assistant to join their property litigation team on a permanent basis. To be considered for this role, you would need to be a competent and confident Property Litigation / Conveyancing Legal Secretary with excellent communication skills, a typing speed of 60wpm+ and experience of digital dictation and managing busy diaries.
As Legal Secretary / Team Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out all necessary conflict, money laundering and ID checks.
- A range of administrative duties including data entry, completion of forms, managing diaries and travel, expenses, research, drafting of documentation, booking of events, meeting preparation and more.
- Liaising with other areas of the business such as the accounts and marketing teams.
- Providing Audio typing (Bighand) and copy typing as required.
- Liaising with clients and third parties as instructed by Lawyers.
- Attending to clients, delivering documentation as and when required.
- Providing reception cover when needed.
- Dealing with new business enquiries, following up on enquiries and providing accurate record keeping.
What you will need:
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages, Bighand, Oyez.
- To be self-motivated with a “can do” flexible approach.
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- A proactive approach and able to take ownership of issues and offer solutions.
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
- To be a strong team player who can work on own initiative.
- Knowledge of P4W (Partners for Windows) would be a distinct advantage.

Our client is offering a salary of up to £30,000pa alongside a wealth of great company benefits which includes parking, private health insurance, 25 days holiday and lots more! The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm, however our client is also open to considering part-time candidates.
