Are you an experienced and talented Children’s Panel Accredited Solicitor based in or around the Essex or East London area? Are you considering your next career move? This role is both challenging and rewarding and requires legal expertise, compassion and confidence in complex Child Law cases. Panel membership is essential for this role!
Duties involve:
- Running your own caseload of public children law cases, supporting and advising parents and family members through some of their toughest moments ever
- Dealing with allegations of drug and alcohol abuse, domestic and sexual abuse non-accidental injuries, inappropriate physical chastisement, mental health difficulties, learning difficulties and more
- Drafting legal documents and Case Management
- Handle Legal Aid applications
- Undertake your own advocacy
- Deliver outstanding client care with empathy and professionalism
- Work towards achievable fee earner targets whilst making a genuine impact
What You will need:
- To be qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales with strong background in Child Law
- To be a member of the Children’s Panel (Children Law Accreditation Scheme)
- Have experience in care proceedings
- Advocacy and case management skills
- A good understanding of Legal Aid processes and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage a busy caseload without losing attention to detail
- To bring compassion, warmth, resilience and professionalism to client relationships
- A guardian following would be beneficial
