Our client, a professional Logistics organisation in Manchester, is looking for an experienced 3PL Warehouse Operative with a Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift licence to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent communication and numeracy skills, be reliable, computer literate, and able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
The daily duties for the Forklift Driver & 3PL Warehouse Operative are:
- Monitoring all emails and day-to-day requests from the Key Account team.
- Maintaining a safe working environment by applying a ‘Safety First’ approach to working.
- Ensuring all equipment and areas of the warehouse are kept clean, tidy, orderly and secure.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring accuracy of receipt and dispatch of goods.
- Carrying out daily checks of all mechanical equipment to ensure they are safe to use.
- Booking in of all incoming stock and storing in a correct and safe manner.
- Picking and preparing products for shipping, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
- Ensuring the inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Reporting any quality variances to the Supervisor or Line Manager.
- Completing Quality Control procedures as and when required.
- Tracking monthly storage and handling charges and communicating these to the team.
- Assisting in other warehouse duties where required.
You will need:
- Previous experience in a similar 3PL Warehouse Operative role is essential.
- Full valid Forklift licenses – ideally reach and counterbalance.
- To be physically capable.
- A high attention to detail.
- Be computer literate with good numerical skills.
- Be able to work under pressure, multitask and work to deadlines.
- To be willing to go the extra mile by starting early or finishing late when needed.
- Be reliable with good time keeping.
- A positive attitude and good communication skills (both written and verbal).
- To be able to maintain good relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Knowledge of CargoWise and MS Excel would be a distinct advantage.
In return for your hard work and dedication, our client is offering a salary of £25,000 - £27,000pa + benefits and on-site car parking. The working hours are 9.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
