Our client, a growing professional organisation based in Manchester, is looking for a Contracts Logistics Operator to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this varied and interesting role would be a flexible team player with previous Warehouse Administration experience, someone pro-active with excellent communication and IT skills, who is highly organised with the ability to work on their own initiative. Duties for the Contracts Logistics Operator are:
- Providing office administration support to the warehouse team.
- Processing orders and managing key reports for both the warehouse team and customers.
- Acting as client liaison and the escalation point for problems within the warehouse.
- Management of warehouse visitors in conjunction with the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Setting up deliveries with couriers and UK hauliers based on both profitability and service dependent on customer and company requirements.
- Supporting the team in their daily duties.
- Addressing service failures and analysing root causes with the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Supporting the Branch Manager.
- Assisting within the warehouse when required with picking, packing, loading and unloading.
You will need:
- Previous experience within a Warehouse Administration role.
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
- Good IT literacy.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- A level of confidence and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Knowledge of CargoWise would be a distinct advantage.
In return for your hard work and dedication, our client is offering a salary of £24,000 - £26,500pa, on-site car parking and a range of benefits.
