We are proud to be working on a "sole agency" basis with our client based in East London who is looking for an experienced Commercial Conveyancing Secretary to support the Partners and Fee Earners of the firm with secretarial and admin tasks. This full-time permanent position requires someone with a good knowledge and understanding of Commercial Conveyancing, an audio typing speed of 60wpm+, excellent communication and organisational skills and a high standard of English grammar and spelling. Responsibilities of the Commercial Conveyancing Secretary involve:
- Receiving enquiries from clients and prospective clients.
- Audio and copy typing of letters, financial statements, bills, contracts, accounts, proofs and standard documents using MS Word and the Case Management system.
- Liaising over the telephone with clients to answer queries or arrange appointments.
- Managing the Fee Earners’ incoming faxes/emails when they are out of the office.
- Drafting reports and raising enquiries.
- Assisting with maintaining websites.
- Training junior staff members in relation to searches, stamp duty and registrations.
- Assisting other Legal Secretaries when workload requires.
- General administration duties including photocopying and faxing.
As Commercial Conveyancing Secretary, you will need:
- Previous Commercial Conveyancing secretarial experience and an audio speed of 60wpm+
- Good working knowledge of MS Word and case management systems
- A high standard of English grammar/ spelling and ability to communicate clearly in English
- To be a strong team player with a confident and professional telephone manner / approach
- To be highly organised, able to prioritise workload and stay calm whilst working under pressure
- Confidentiality and the ability to deal with clients sensitively and tactfully
