Compassionate Health Care Assistant - Durham (DH1, DH4 & DH6). Work available in the following villages within: Belmont, Bowburn, Carville, Crossgate Moor, Croxdale, Durham Central, Gilesgate, Haswell, High Pittington, High Shincliffe, Ludworth, Pity Me Shadforth, Sherburn Hill, Sherburn Village, Nevilles Cross, Newton Hall.

Responsibilities

  • Promote independence, caring for our service users in their own home.
  • Encourage our service users to be actively involved in all aspects of their day-to-day care.
  • Accompany service users to appointments and access their local community.
  • Prepare meals and snacks to help sustain the service user's nutritional needs.
  • Tidy the service user's home, assist with basic domestic tasks, ensuring a comfortable living environment.
  • Assist in the support of personal care tasks, from bathing to pad changes and incontinence care.

Shift Patterns

At Kelly Park, we understand the importance of work-life balance. We offer flexible working patterns to suit your lifestyle and commitments. Opportunities include but are not limited to:

  • Mornings / Lunch (typically between 7:00am – 3:00pm)
  • Tea time / Evenings (typically between 3:00pm – 10:00pm)
  • Full days (with appropriate breaks)
  • Flexible availability across weekdays and alternate weekends

Location: we aim to provide clients as close to you as possible to reduce commuting. Flexibility offers work/life balance with fixed working days and alternate weekends.

Benefits & Additional Details

  • Pay: £13.20 per hour and £13.50 on bank holidays to enable job financial security.
