We are now recruiting a Replenishment Buyer to join the Purchasing team at Hub Packaging in Rathfriland, just outside of Newry, County Down. This newly created position sits within the Purchasing function and plays a key role in protecting service levels while supporting controlled, sustainable growth. Working closely with the Purchasing Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day replenishment buying activity and become a trusted part of how stock is planned, ordered and managed. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys pace, responsibility and being close to the detail. You will take pride in accurate data management, forecasting and planning, while building effective supplier relationships that help keep product flowing and customers serviced.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, as Replenishment Buyer, you will be responsible for day-to-day replenishment activity, working closely with suppliers, freight partners and internal teams. The emphasis is on accuracy, follow up and identifying issues early to protect First Time In Full performance.
Key responsibilities:- Forecast demand using historical sales data and translate this into accurate purchase orders
- Manage the end-to-end reorder process from PO creation through to delivery
- Monitor stock levels and identify risks such as out-of-stock events, slow movers or delivery delays
- Liaise with suppliers on order status, lead times and availability
- Coordinate freight movements across road and sea where required
- Expedite orders to prevent service disruption
- Maintain accurate purchasing, product and pricing data within internal systems
- Support inventory control and service level targets
This role suits an energetic individual who is organised, articulate, numerate and comfortable taking responsibility. You will typically have:
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical ability
- Confidence communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- The ability to prioritise tasks in a busy office environment
- Relevant experience in a replenishment, buying, stock or supply focused role is a bonus, but not essential.
- Minimum education to GCSE standard required. A degree is useful, but not essential where relevant experience exists.
