Heating Engineer

Pay: £36,000.00-£38,000.00 per year

Kelly Heating NI is a trusted heating, plumbing, and renewables specialist, providing high-quality, reliable service. We are Gas Safe registered, OFTEC certified, and experienced across oil / gas boilers and renewable technology.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair of gas boilers, oil boilers, central heating systems, hot water systems, and associated heating equipment.
• General plumbing duties related to heating: fixing leaks, radiators, piping, etc.
• Carry out gas safety inspections and certificates in accordance with legal / safety regulations.
• Fault finding / diagnostics on heating and plumbing systems; proposing and implementing solutions
• Ensure all work is completed safely, complies with Building Regulations, Gas Safety regulations, OFTEC or other relevant standards.
• Maintain electronic records of work done, parts used, safety certificates, and customer communications.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Full plumbing qualification of NVQ level 3 in plumbing & heating or relevant equivalent.
• Valid domestic Gas Safe qualification, with up-to-date gas qualifications, LPG and natural gas. CCN1 Domestic Gas Safety.
• OFTEC certification for oil-fired appliances
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in plumbing & heating roles, including installation, servicing, and repair of gas and oil boilers.
• Strong fault finding / diagnostic skills on domestic central heating systems and boilers.
• Good customer service skills; able to communicate clearly with clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of attention to detail, safety, and quality.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and use initiative
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Valid UK driving licence.

Desirable Attributes

• Commercial gas qualifications.
• Domestic fire and cooker qualifications.

Working Conditions

• Full–time position
• Travel across Belfast / Lisburn and surroundings; sometimes to other areas depending on job.
• Company van, tools and safety equipment provided.
• Monday – Friday only
