Kelly Bros Ltd is a family run business based in Yate near Bristol, providing road markings and trailer mounted LED signs throughout the UK. We are looking to fill a new position for vehicle & trailer maintenance mechanic.

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated mechanic to join our team. This is a full-time position focused on servicing and repairing braked LED sign trailers and company vehicles, ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest safety and operational standards. While the role is primarily workshop-based, some on-site servicing will be required. During busy periods, you will also be required to assist with deploying sign trailers on the road. Flexibility with working hours is essential, as start and finish times may vary depending on operational requirements. There also may be times when you will be required to go on site call outs for maintenance/breakdowns as well as delivering trailers during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair braked LED sign trailers and fleet vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical faults
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Complete on-site servicing when required
  • Assist with delivery and deployment of sign trailers when required during busy periods
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment

Skills & Experience Required

  • Mechanical or engineering experience (essential)
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • 12v electrical experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • Welding experience an advantage
  • Full driver’s licence including being able to tow 1500KG trailers with 3.5T vehicles

Training will be provided where required for the right candidate.
