At Blue Sky Leisure, we are all about inspiring connection with nature — and we are looking for a Duty Manager to help us create exceptional experiences for our guests, owners and team. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in keeping our parks running smoothly, safely and efficiently, while delivering outstanding service at every moment.

The Role

  • Be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the park during your shift
  • Act as the first point of contact for guest enquiries, requests and feedback
  • Respond quickly and professionally to any issues or incidents
  • Support all departments across the park — from reception to maintenance and countryside
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service across all facilities
  • Carry out regular checks across departments, amenities and outdoor areas
  • Take the lead in emergency situations, including first aid and fire safety
  • Work closely with the Parks Management Team to maintain smooth operations

This is a highly visible and varied role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working outdoors and being part of a close-knit team.

About You

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering great guest experiences. You will:

  • Be friendly, approachable and confident communicating with guests and colleagues
  • Be proactive, organised and able to prioritise effectively
  • Have a flexible, hands‑on approach to work
  • Be a team player who builds strong relationships across departments
  • Remain calm under pressure and confident handling challenges
  • Have a “can-do” attitude and a passion for great service

Experience in a customer-facing or operational role is beneficial, but not essential — we are more interested in your attitude and approach.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisation and time management
  • Problem‑solving ability and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work across different tasks and environments
  • Basic maintenance or practical skills
  • Experience in a guest-facing or hospitality role
  • Health & Safety training (e.g. COSHH, Manual Handling)

Full training will be provided, including First Aid and Fire Warden certification.

Working Hours

  • Open to full-time or part-time applications
  • Full-time equivalent: 37.5 hours per week (annualised hours)
  • Flexible working patterns, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays

Along with working in a unique setting with amongst 300 acres of woodland and rare open heathland in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in a friendly and supportive environment, we are also proud to be able to offer you a number of key benefits including:
