We specialise in modern 3.5t–7t and 4×4 vehicles from Versalift and CPL , so you’ll be at the heart of some exciting operations every day!
Job Function
To ensure the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective running of the Technical and Breakdown function.
Reporting to
Technical & Breakdowns Manager
Liaising with
Depot Managers, Field Service Engineers, Customers, 3 rd Party Garages etc.
The ideal candidate will be able to train, coach and support the team with technical and breakdown knowledge.
They will be excellent at problem solving and will proactively identify areas for improvement, ensuring relevant action plans are put into place.
Responsibilities
- Support the Technical and Breakdown team with their knowledge and help them effectively take breakdown calls.
- Coach the team and show them how to provide solutions by liaising with the relevant suppliers/engineering support for all equipment.
- Ensure best practices are shared across the team.
- Be the conduit for innovation and process improvements for the team.
- Assist with day-to-day enquiries coming through the team.
- Logging and creation of jobs on Syrinx.
- Allocation of Van and hoist breakdowns to garages and engineers.
- Ensure vehicle downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.
- Ensure all records are maintained on Syrinx.
- Produce various reports based on breakdowns as and when required.
- Provide a high level of accuracy and detail on all records created within Syrinx.
- Follow company’s Employee handbook policies and procedures.
- Any other duties requested by your manager.
Requirements
- Technical knowledge to be able to assist with hoist and van breakdowns.
- Ability to train and coach a team of people with technical knowledge gaps.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Good PC skills including use of Outlook, Word & Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Good multitasking and teamwork skills
- Ability to work well alone.
