We are partnering with our global based infrastructure Company, with their European HQ in London who are seeking a talented individual to join their London office. Please note this role is hybrid. This diverse role is a mixture of both team leadership and management, solution design and occasionally supporting the sales team pitching to global strategic customers in defined market sectors.
The Director of Design and Estimating is a senior leadership role and critical to the sales and growth strategy globally. The candidate should be hugely ambitious and excited by the possibilities provided by our clients solutions, leading, building and motivating the design and estimating team and community globally. This role will utilise your strong people management skills alongside your technical skills.
Develop and execute the design and estimating strategy, ensuring consistent deployment and management across the Company group.
Management of strategic and key and transactional accounts:
- Working with the team to drive a continual improvement / innovation program to evolve the Company approach for design and estimating of customer proposals taking into consideration new ways of working, emerging technologies and industry insights.
- Building strategic relationships with the Company's key partners, manufacturers and distributors, working with the Solutions Director, Procurement, Managing Directors and Sales teams to ensure strong web of influence across the partnership stakeholders.
Specific areas for immediate attention:
- Task the Solutions Director to agree, document and communicate an end-to-end manufacturer / partner process including clear lines of responsibility between procurement and design.
- Strong technical understanding of the industry sector in all countries that the Company operate in, specifically in structured cabling, data centre and ICT technologies.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Financial acumen experience.
